Mi Camino

Walk with me a while…

About this site…

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step…”

Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu gave us this metaphor 15 centuries ago but the truth of it is timeless.

I began walking the Camino de Santiago in September 2015, with no intention of reaching Santiago and every intention of flying home to the UK after two weeks.  But, after only five days on the Camino, I threw my return ticket away and continued walking to Santiago de Compostela.  Nearly five years on, and the spark that the Camino struck within me is still burning brightly.

I created this site to explain the journey that I’m on, and how it continues to both challenge and inspire me, in the hope that – somewhere within it – others might find some inspiration for their own ‘journey of a thousand miles’…

My journey led me to a new way of living, new lands, a new focus and, now, a new creation: the building of a virtual House of Peace (or Casa de Paz), which can be found at: http://lacasadepaz.com

But I’m leaving this site in place as a guide to others in search of more information about The Camino de Santiago…and as a way of honouring the magical pilgrimage path that was the first single step for me…
